GJ Reviews: "In Which Margo Halifax Earns Her Shocking Reputation" By Alexandra Vashti

Thank you to Dreamscape Media and Netgalley for giving me a free copy of the audiobook. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

So this book was already on my radar from the catchy title but as you may know, I've been struggling with reading lately. Fortunately, I saw the audiobook on request and thought this might be the right time!

WednesdayBookClub: 2/14/24

Welcome to WednesdayBookClub, gang!! I hope everyone had a lovely week despite the giant garbage fires outside our doors

BTW, I've already seen two people on my taglist lament about how they need book club to happen because they need to vent about their books so um, I'm very curious about what's about to hit me. Let's get started

WednesdayBookClub: 2/7/24

Hello all and welcome to WednesdayBookClub! I hope everyone is doing alright this week. I have been writing so much this past week and I'm semi burned out of expressing my opinion about stuff, lol

Anyway, let's talk about books

What I Want to Read in 2024

It's 2024! While my 2023 reads were a little lackluster, I'm looking forward to this new year. I've been expanding my reading

I recently saw my friend Renay post her anticipated reads for 2024 and in a stroke of genius, they're all backlog books. New releases get all of the attention but really, I have a giant TBR that I've been trying to whittle down since 2020. It's an act of futility but it's not going to stop me.

Nearly all of these are on my backlist because new releases get all of the love and honestly, I'm broke so library loans are at least 80% of my reads.

GJ Reviews: "At First Spite" by Olivia Dade

Thank you to NetGalley, Avon Publishing and OLIVIA DADE HERSELF FOR SENDING ME AN ADVANCED COPY!!! SQUEEEEEEE!!!

*Clear throat* I'm an adult, I'm calm. Don't worry, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

So cards on the table, I walked into this one fully prepared to be surprised. While I love Dade's work,  I'm actually not a fan of the Sibling's Partner/Ex-Partner trope. I have 4 siblings and our type runs along 5 different shades of red flags, you know? Still, the description and my trust in Dade led me to request it.
