A Heat Wave Book Club: 06/26/24

*Sit directly in front of a fan* Hello, gang. Welcome to another book club. Here in the states and the UK, we're going through a bit of a heat wave. We hit 110F (About 43C) here in my neck of the woods and um, no. I don't want it. I'm seeking solace in the fact that we just had the Solistice so I'm closer to my beloved colder temps.

Anyway, don't mind the puddle of sweat and lets move onto book club

WednesdayBookClub: Still Recovering

Hello, all and welcome to this week's book club! I hope everyone is having a good week!

Ummm.....I don't have much of a preamble ATM cuz I just remembered to write this just before going to bed so LET'S DO BOOK CLUB!!

So this week, I haven't read much. My anxiety for some reason is completely out of whack and I'm just an anxious hamster pretending to be a person. (Probably because of my yearly checkup is Thursday). I am gonna try to read Wednesday because I need these books read and I need to do some self care.

Speaking of reading, Twelfth Knight just came out this week. Here's my review right here if anyone is curious on my thoughts on it.

Anyway, what about you all? Anything good?

WednesdayBookClub: Recovery Book Club 06/12/24

Hello all and welcome back to our usual WednesdayBookClub! So last week, I had to take off because I had to go to Urgent Care for my ear. It seems like my pervious sinus infection thingy hadn't completely gone away and I had an ear infection. A gnarly one if the horrified look my PCP gave me is an indicator. My ear isn't completely 100% but it's loads better than what it was last week

Thanks to Mythbri and Nemesis_Goldenhair for taking over for me on both Twitter and Blusky. I wouldn't have been able to do it without them. Now, that we're done with that, BOOK CLUB!!

So this week, I'm reading My Kind of Trouble by L.A. Schwartz and yall, this book was made for me. A plus sized grifter trying to get pay back from a Big Bad and her first mark is an awkward Autistic librarian who hates book banners. Sign. Me. Up!

I'm about 10% into it and having a blast. I haven't read that much because honestly, I was in so much pain, I was just sleeping or trying to not have a meltdown every 5 minutes. (Which I somewhat did)

What about you all? Anything good? Have I missed anything?
