Hello, all!! Book club's a little later than usual today because I've had a very long weekend (Not in a fun vacation way but in a "I didn't burn down anything OR curse anyone out. I am in fact the Strongest Warrior" way.)
So I was too tired to do it last night (Like I usually do) and I slept in later than usual. BUT I'm still here, typing with no coffee in my system because that's how dedicated I am. So let's talk books.

I won't share too much but I'm working part time at a school. It absolutely not what I imagined and I was almost a butthead about it but I just had my first day! Those were the contracts I was talking about last week.

So this isn't my encounter with Kyle Prue. Wait, that sounds creepy. Let's try that again. I'm a fan of Prue's work on Tiktok (I refuse to say "content"). My sister sent me a few of his videos when he got big and he always gets a chuckle and "Oh, that's so mean!" from me. Books, however as a different beast than videos and I was curious about how his video style would translate to written form.

Um, I read some contracts for a potential job. Very dry, very boring (Which a surprising amount of typos in it. Not sure if I should say something to them) and unfortunately, it led to a minor meltdown. I'm fine now, BTW.
Making some headway into Jewel Me Twice but at the risk of sounding nitpicky, the formatting is a bit weird so it's making a little harder for me.
What about you all? Anything good?
Guess who's back from break?! So if you're only following the blog itself or one of the newcomers to WednesdayBookClub, you might not have seen that I've basically been AWOL since late July. I won't go into details but I had a case of burnout along with some personal issues so my fantastic book club folks volunteered to take over for me for 2 months.
