WednesdayBookClub: A Heat Wave Book Club 06/25/25

So this week, my seasonal depression decided that this was the exact moment it wanted to rear its ugly head in full bloom. The heat and everyone feeling the need to go outside and be loud seem to be what's kicked it into overdrive so I'm doing self care! Lots of classical music and cold water and some reading!

So let's talk about that!

This week, I finished up this season of Wayne Family Adventures. Usually, the episodes are one shots with some special 2-parters thrown in but this season has had a more traditional, over-arching storyline. Joker has broken out of Arkham and kidnaps Duke (Don't worry, nothing too bad happens to him) but it triggers Bruce's, Barbara's and Jason's PTSD and shows the others helping them through everything while else dealing with their own feelings.

There are tense moments and characters reading Bruce for absolute filth but it deals with trauma beautifully and we still have light moments thrown in too. Seriously, I really do recommend this series. It's on Webtoons and the first two volumes are in paperback now.

What about you all? Anything good?
